Most of Lakewood and surrounding areas are right wing. Meaning the schools are all bais yaakovs and yeshivas (besides for one, which can barely make it).
There's not really an established modern orthodox community. You can find areas with people who aren't as machmir on tznius, secular influences, etc., but they aren't always from the same types of circles. They wont be livinf together. Many have immigrated from Israel, some are litfish American, and some are from chasidish backgrounds
That leaves probably over 90% of people who went through the yeshiva system and stayed on that track of frumkeit. Different yeshivos, ultra yeshivish to barely yeshivish, but still along similar lines.
I'm not sure if this answers your question. Perhaps your next question will be asking for "normal- not too frum, not too modern", another very relative question.

Aidel Black Hat frum. Their kids are a mix of Lakewood learners and professionals.
More right wing than Mod Orthodox, and to the left of Chassidish.
Whichever neighborhood I ask about in TR or Jackson, I hear "Oh that neighborhood is mostly Chassidish".
I am ok with a mix of frumkeit backgrounds, but I would not like to live in a mostly Chassidish neighborhood, bec Im not Chassidish.

So basically a typical Lakewood type? Toms River- whitesville, old freehold, silverton are all that type. The chassidish Toms River area is Vermont/ hickory/ north maple. Jackson- Pitney, brewed bridge, Hampshire hills, really all over fit that type, there are less chassidish areas than not.

Is ‘agudah type’ still a thing? I haven’t heard that term in ages. Maybe it’s a Brooklyn thing?
These days it’s yeshivish, chassidish, heimish, MO, sefardic…
There’s yeshivish- learning in kollel
And yeshivish - working

I get what OP is asking. Where I live it’s kind of a not modern but not really yeshivish crowd for the most part. Also higher income. The Agudah Shul in my neighborhood can be heavy on the gashmius. so if I am looking to move and want that same chevra I’d ask too.

Imho, Agudah is more a religious level, like "Agudah of Avenue L" in Flatbush, Rabbi Lieff's Shul.
Frum Black Hatters, who are into learning, and are usually professionals.
Not neccesarily the highest earners in the neighborhood.
By no means is "Agudah of Avenue L" the wealthiest Minyan in Flatbush.
I think its maybe an upper medium class crowd?

This is a lakewood thread.
And the agudah in your neighborhood is not necessarily "the" agudah type being discussed here.

Is there an Agudah Shul in Lakewood, TR or Jackson? I dont think so. Thats why I asked where in TR and Jackson, Agudah "type" 50+ people live.

Is there a specific Agudah shul that you’re using as your benchmark op?
Cuz the Agudah shul in Washington heights Was very different then the Agudah of Ave L is…. Etc.
I’ve also never heard Agudah used as a type description lately.

My point was only that Agudah means different things to different people so depending on where OP is coming from, it makes sense she wants to find the people she identifies as Agudah. It sounded like she was new to lakewood and looking for a crowd similar to hers. I was only saying I understood her question sheesh.
