My toddler needs to go off dairy but it's basically all he eats - he's always been pretty reliant on cheese, milk etc and he's also always been in the lower side of the growth charts so I've relied on the higher fat content of cheese to keep him growing. Looking for ideas of what I can make for him that he will hopefully eat (!!) without dairy but still high calorie.

I don't have time to patchke in the kitchen as I have him and a baby at home as well so the easier the better!

Things I already do:
Avocado - he will eat occasionally but it's so messy
Oatmeal with peanut butter - same
Larabars
Chicken on the bone (he doesn't eat meat except sometimes cholent) - he loves

Thanks!!

Thanks these are great!! Do you have a recipe for almond flour pancakes? Although almond flour is so expensive and he can have gluten just not dairy so not sure if I would do that too often...

Is coconut milk yogurt considered good nutritionally or just good for calories?

I forgot to mention that he doesn't really drink smoothies, but I can work on it. Ideas for fatty ingredients besides avocado & peanut butter?

He doesn't like anything with ground meat:(

I wonder if he would go for chopped liver! I don't usually buy it but I like the idea.

Similar situation.
I buy tater tots and hashbrowns and let her eat them daily.
Try canned salmon, you can even mix with avocodo.
I make smoothies with wow butter(like pb but safe for my kid) and soy milk (or you can use almond or ripple) and banana and freeze them into ices (using the bags).
Ripple kids is I think the highest fat milk alternative.

Cashews, cocoa, almond milk, dates - blend- yum
You could try to add Tehina for a chocolate halva tasting smoothie but I don’t know if kids like that

We're very good at fattening food with limited ingredients here Smile she's also gluten free so she's on a fried potatoes every day diet Smile

Ripple is parve I believe. One benefit of entering the dairy free world is cholov yisrale basically no longer exists. Do ask your rav what you hold about cholov Stam DE and cholov Stam dairy free foods. Also vegan foods are super helpful even if your kid can have eggs, they tend to be pareve/dairy free

Haha, I know it's not actually dairy:) I meant not even DE - we don't do anything cholov stam even if it's officially dairy free.

I like the fried potatoes idea, though this might end up being a Mommy-fattening diet;)

You can hide it in Mac and cheese, sandwiches, even baked goods!
