😱😱
They're difficult at bedtime but I got them all settled, they were quiet in their beds. Turns out the 7 and 3 yos went quietly into the 5 yos room and the three of them together made all over the desk and floor!
What on earth?! I've never encountered behavior like this before in all my years of parenting!

You make them clean it up. I'm very serious! Give them rags and Mr clean spray and they need to clean it up.

They started cleaning it up and were giggling together about it! So I sent them back to bed and finished mopping it up myself. It was a LOT, all over the room. What is wrong with my kids?!

They peed, pooped, or both!
OP, I'd just cry!!
Is the 7 year old a challenging kid in general? Because this behavior is not the norm for a 7 year old. Hugs and love.

The 7 year old has been much more difficult lately. The ds older than him thinks his friend at school is a bad influence

I’d have some strong words with the 7 year old. S/he needs to tell you if 3 is doing something insane, not join in.

But my 7 year old has joined in some wacky stuff. They’re still pretty impulsive at that age and if someone is making trouble, the temptation is strong.

Omg a 3 year old ok. A 5 year old maybe. The 7 year old would get such a slap in the face and a hundred other punishments the next day too.

That's very possible.
My 4 year old has been doing and saying things that are really out of character for him. He keeps saying that a certain boy in his class does and says those things. That boy is a new boy that joined the class for the summer.

7 year old should be punished

He should not act like a 3 y.o.

You didn't let them keep cleaning because they were having too much fun? Do you really want cleaning to be a punishment, to be something they view as a negative activity?

The 7 year old definitely needs to be punished for this with something that's not fun for her. Maybe the 5 year old as well.
I generally don't punish kids, but this is a biggie.

They were supposed to be in their beds in separate rooms going to sleep but they didn't want to. So now they made trouble and got to stay up together giggling and wiping it up, I wasn't going to let them stay up any later together.

I don't know what the punishment should be...in a way this behavior is too extreme for any punishment I could give a 7 yo
