Has anyone done research on different devices/companies that sell them (not a regular gps that doesn't update but a kosher device with waze only on it) and can tell me which company and device is most recommended and why?

I'm very happy with SafeTelecom. The exact same Waze as on my husband's (filtered) smart phone with browser.

Is it a Waze only device? I don’t see it on their website? How much is the device, how much does it cost per month? Where do you buy it?

My husband is very happy with the mehadrin gps. Its a smartphone device with only waze. And also a calculator.
Back when I bought it (yes, a gift from his wife lol), probably 2 years ago, I paid around $315 and they offered 2 plan options. Monthly or usage.
Bought it by world of communications.
Eta-they have an option of putting on google maps.

I have a waze only device from KosherCell that we only used once or twice. It’s basically a cell phone with everything except Waze completely vaporized. Message me if you’d like to buy it.
