I've ordered many things online, but never returned anything.
I want to order some clothes that I might return, but I feel so bad for the seller, who was sure he was getting money and won't get it in the end. How can I feel better about this? I know it's normal these days to return half of what you order after trying on.

Wow I’m impressed by your sensitivity.. I never think twice before returning as long as it’s within the guidelines…

The seller? Like target or H&M? No I don’t feel bad for them. They’re doing just fine

No I don’t feel bad

As a former business owner I know that it’s just a part of running a business.

My husband has an online business. There are return requests every day. He doesn't think twice about it. It's just part of the business.

Absolutely no need to feel bad. It’s a completely normal part of their business and they expect to have x amount returned a year.

You could always order only on Amazon wardrobe which doesn't bill immediately if you want...

Don’t order something with the intention to return, that’s wrong, but just ordering and returning if doesn’t fit is totally fine.

Amazon returns I don’t feel bad.
Stores I do feel bad, and hardly return. If anything it’s a change of size.

Nope.
Hm Zara shopper here. I deliberately order two sizes. I try on in the convenience of my own home.
I have a few days to get my child to cooperate.
I rarely shop in Jewish stores because I have to make a decision fast in a hot squishy store.
I mostly order from stores that offer free returns.
I work out of the house too many hours to manage any other way.
I'd order from Jewish stores online if the return policy would be more than 30 seconds.
Obviously, if I know for sure the size, I don't order extra.

I don't feel bad at all. They allow returns because it's good for their businesses (it encourages people to buy more). I only shop online at sites that offer free ship and returns.

I definitely feel bad about returning something. I know it's going to make work for somebody, somewhere. I've done it, of course, but I really try to minimize it.

Amazon stuff with lots of review, I don’t feel bad. Getting my order helps them with their algorithm. Most of the stuff I need to return are Chinese junk anyways…

There are a lot of things I feel bad and guilty about, I can't afford to add any more areas so nope, returns are not one of them!
