I recently purchased a magic mill warming tray/plata and I'm finding it to be VERY hot. Is this normal for magic mill or did I get a lemon?

I have the enamel one without a knob. Is there a way to lower the setting on that one?

I don’t think so but I know those get very hot.

Ours gets very hot too, so we put a deep tin tray upside down if we are concerned that a food item is going to overheat. For those things that can withstand more heat, we use shallower tins.
