Can you get private clients?
In Lakewood, the therapists that work privately make $150-$200 hourly, depending on their prices.
If you work for an agency you get much less; my agency pays $75-$85 hourly, but just raised some of their more senior therapists to between $90-$100 hourly. It’s not bad,

$75- $85 an hour sounds like a dream....in brooklyn the agencies pay 60-65

Wow I'm an OT in Lakewood. Would you be comfortable sharing which agency this is?

Not sure I’m comfortable posting publicly but they only have speech in my agency, no OT.

Where are you located? I know it's not typical but I got a 10$ raise per hour in one shot and then 5$ again the next year and then I realized no matter how much more I make per hour I still don't walk away with anything more by the end of the year so I changed my requests but even so I'm about to drop out of the field.

im in brooklyn but ill travel to queens or long island if it means actually making decent money.
what do you mean you dont walk away with anything more?

Wow BH good for you!!

Now I'm wondering if I should try asking for a raise..I hate doing it...I'm not the assertive businesswoman type and have a hard time speaking up for myself...but $65 an hour is really not ok and I really need more

only w2.
I just interviewed by a different agency paying $110 on a w2. apparently some districts were rewarded a new contract from the DOE. its only the heimish agencies that get away with bad prices
