Stars preschool is funded by the board of Ed. You need to have an evaluation through the board of Ed, and if eligible, tell them that you're choosing a non-public option and then apply to Stars. Stars then does their own interview to decide if your child is a good fit. You can call the office at Stars, I think they'll explain the whole process to you. If you live outside of Lakewood proper, make sure to tell them that, because it could be that only Lakewood children can go there. It is a language based program with special education teachers. They provide OT as well, but it's usually limited (group sessions or only once a week) depending on funding. I think it's easier to get speech therapy than OT there.
Star Therapeutic is an ABA agency. The child needs to have a diagnosis of ASD and you need to have private insurance. They provide ABA, OT, speech therapy (could be more therapy as well like floortime, you can call and ask) and bill your insurance. They have a preschool program as well.

No relationship. I agree it's confusing.
