I usually buy the closed cup. I peel and rinse.
I don't check them.
I recently started using the ready sliced ones from my local supermarket but my friend is asking me questions on it. I asked my own Rav and he said its fine to use. I told her that but she asked me if you need to check each slice for bugs still.
I never check mushrooms for bugs, just peel and wash. Am I supposed to check?

I learned that the "cups" need to be closed and need to peel them. No checking.

Since I once had a big literally crawl out of a mushroom I was washing I am super careful Amit it now. It was absolutely disgusting if you want to know lol
