Can two teenage kids sleep in a double bed for a short time? Or are they made for one person? I’m going on vacation to the UK and apparently the double beds are smaller than double beds that I’m use to or know of…

UK double is 4ft6. It's not for 2 kids. Even I won't share one with my husband. Is it definitely double not queen?

Yes double beds are meant for a couple. They might be a little tight but they should manage for a few nights.

Double beds are meant for two people. Two teenagers should fit without a problem. Whether they are willing to is another question.

my kids would refuse to share, but perhaps ensure there is an extra blanket so they each get their own.

We sleep on a double bed when we go away, but I wouldn't put kids together. We often take a blow up mattress if we need a spare bed. Ensure you have bedding, or the house has a spare set if you go this route. Good luck!

Just spent holiday sharing a queen bed with DH.
No problem, except we spent too much time pulling the duvet from each other!
One mattress, fine. But 2 duvets needed!
