Hi, I am looking to get away somewhere nice for shabbos this week.
I have 4 little kids, so I want something kid friendly.
Somewhere that provides food is nice because it's less work, or somewhere bigger where you have your own space but bring own food.
Where can I go?
Is it worth going away or will it just be more work for me?
My oldest is 5.
I am interested in something not too far, not too expensive with lots of fresh air and space to run around for the kids.
PLEASE let me know any suggestions.
I live in BP

Maybe the Raleigh is a good option for you.
But any place that gives food, is expensive.

I'm not sure any place will match all your wants and everything is expensive.

I agree that summer gives that itch.
However, just being home all summer without friends (because so many go away) NOWHERE for the kids to play, cramped apartments, long weekends without daycamp. What are the kids supposed to do all summer?

Please advise how you manage this- if you live in a tiny apartment without yard/porch, on a high floor, no friends or family home.
I'm open to suggestions other than spending a month's rent on a shabbos....

I lived like that for a bit when I first was married and had 1 child and was miserable! was so so horrible! so I feel for you! the only thing I did was buy my kid new toys to keep busy but the days are long and hard! I made sure to move out of Brooklyn to place w an eruv, made some friends and its easier for me now

Thank you!
Where do I get information on that?
The hotel looks beautiful?
Is it being kosher this week?

Yes they’re renting out a few of the buildings, meals eaten in your suite, they’re giving a shabbos package and weekday package of food from satmar in BP

I did a new playground every Friday and Sunday.
NYC parks are plentiful, it’s free, parking varies- based on location.
Excellent for young kids.

Unless you’re at a vacation spot for a long while, young kids are unsettled in new places, and it’s not a vacation for the parents.

Oppenheimers? Probably the cheapest option that gives food (but nothing fancy at all - the opposite actually)
