The recent thread about what SAHM who have time on their hands inspired me. I’d like to get involved in volunteer work in Lakewood. Maybe a few hours a week, does anyone have any info about which organizations I could contact.

what type of volunteer work do they need. I may also be able to do some work. I prefer something that does not involve a lot of driving.

Driving is a huge chessed. DD has a daily therapy appointment and the official drivers charge a lot, which I understand, but it's not affordable.

Did you call bikur cholim? My daughter also has something an hour away and bikur cholim helps us whenever they have a volunteer to do it
