I'm hoping to move from Brooklyn to Israel soon and there are many things I don't want to or can't bring with me. I know I can donate lots of things to the Chesed Center, but I'd like to sell what I can, especially since moving is expensive so I'd like to cut costs where possible. Looking for any ideas where I can sell things - e.g. websites like Ebay and Craigslist, ideas like yard sales, local email groups, secondhand stores, really anything. I'm looking to sell some furniture, some appliances, lots of random odds and ends, some more sellable than others (e.g. I assume I could sell a lightly used baby swing more easily than a lightly used set of linens). Thanks in advance for any ideas or advice!

Also how long can I expect it to take for an item to sell (on yad shniya or postmark or anywhere else)? I won't have much time from when we decide whether we're moving (when I get a job offer) until we move.

The items that sit for too long, you can always donate..
