I'd like to name after someone who never had kids and his family name died out with him. It means high or tall.
I know it's a stretch and I didn't mention to my dh yet, but was wondering if there were any names fitting the bill anyway.
Any ideas? Thanks

Rami?
Why not name after his first name?

Is that a proper name? What does it mean? Thanks!
Because I can't use it, it's in the family already.

Eli - spelled with an ayin as in Eli the cohen - has something to do with going up/ascending.

Ram is a name; I know one, he’s Israeli DL. I’m not sure exactly what it means but my DH once made a joke about Ram being tall.

Eli (pronounced ay-lee) means ascend and uplifted

Efraim means fruitful...you are naming for someone who had no children

Tamir means tall and upright (its relating to a tree)

Few other ideas....yair, zecharya, meir, gedalia
