Offered a job as a speech therapist in well known agency:
$41,000 salaried for 16 hours - paid over 10 months - paid for Yom tov and midwinter vacation, etc. completely on school schedule.
Paid even if caseload is a little empty to begin with.
Any hour you see students after that is paid hourly per diem at $80 per hour.
This means if you work 20-25 hours a week can make a lot more. BUT it doesn’t include prep time, paperwork, etc.
There is some of that each week, but it’s not a board of Ed job, so not nearly as much as for Board of Ed.
Working in the summer would be paid $80 per hour. Or you can just be off in the summer.
Is this good?
Job doesn’t involve much travel.

As a fellow SLP, this sounds great! It comes out to a bit more that $70 an hour, but its guaranteed, which is nice.
