I don't love my baby, I really want to love my baby, can it be because I don't live his name? Don't ask y I gave it, I wasn't thinking, cute nicknames aren't doing the trick either...

Me 9 years ago! I couldn't call my baby by name, called baby.
Name grew on me and so eventually baby did too. I love my child now. A personality makes a child, not their name.
Give yourself time.

I am not sure that not liking the name is what is causing you to not like the baby.
Considering changing the name. It can be done.
Considering speaking with a professional

I don't think it's because of the name. You can love someone without loving their name.
Can you explore any other possible reasons?

How long post partum are you?
That might very well be a reason. Another thing, the more my baby grows older, the more I can relate to him and it becomes easier to love him.

this.
in pregnancy I find it hard to believe I'll love my baby. they feel like a stranger. once their born I feel very protective and caring but not loving. as time goes on the love just grows and grows. when I think of my baby my heart just melts. I adore them to no end.
I believe it's just a matter of time.
how old is your baby?

Adding that sometimes when they're very little it's hard to always feel love. They steal your sleep and take over every second of your life. It gets better as they grow.

So far never really loved my babies. I just can't relate to them. I love them more and more as they grow and develop their personality and can interact.
