My 8 year old daughter will randomly complain that she's cold and start shivering. Even when it's 90 degrees outside and 72 in the house. No one else is cold and her fingers don't feel cold to me, but she can't stop shivering until she puts on a sweatshirt and/or gets under a blanket.
It's happened 3 or 4 times in the last month.
Doc said to "watch it".
Any ideas what it could be?

For to mention I have a child the same age who also has this sometimes, but I think it's when she's very tired. She's also very skinny, not sure if it's related.

Thiamine deficiency can cause temperate dysregulation.
Iron anemia too.
Could be a thyroid issue.

When my child was 8 and was also constantly cold, it was one of the first (not typical!) signs of Crohn’s (their malabsorption led to malnutrition which caused many vitamin and mineral deficiencies). I’m not saying it’s Crohn’s but I would do a full blood work up to check for malabsorption anywhere.

Thank you for all the suggestions.
The doctor didn't seem concerned because it's only happened a few times and there are no other symptoms, but I'm thinking maybe she should have blood work done.

My 10-year-old daughter is always colder than everyone else. Her hands also are cold when everyone else is hot. Her doctor wasn't concerned but I did do a full workout already a couple times on her and everything was normal bh.
