Anything is nice even a couple of dollars. Whatever you feel comfortable giving

I usually give $1-3
I don't like giving a larger amount as then my address gets "flagged" and we get a ton more people knocking and wanting the same. I leave the larger donations to my husband to do outside of our home.

I give a dollar or two because truly that's what I can afford.
Until half a year ago, when everything about my finances changed, I used to give a bit more.
I live in an area where I can get 4-8 knocks on my door a week. I wish I could give each one something substantial, but I'm struggling myself.
I actually asked someone about this a while ago, and was told that it is better to give many people a small amount than less people a bigger amount.
I don't think there's a regular "normal", everyone gives what they can.

I give $10 usually
DH will give larger amounts
What I really don’t like is when they come I. A car with ten people, and one person comes to the door, then the rest come after they see what you gave the first.
When they come together, honestly, then it’s ok
Also, when I give something and they complain about it, I get upset

I usually give $2-$5. No amount is too small though some may bully you for what you give or for not opening the door...
