Am I allowed to give my physical therapist a gift? If yes, any ideas?

I'm a speech therapist and it is definitely NOT necessary, but it's so appreciated to get tokens of appreciation! Generally, the guidelines I've been given is that it's ok to accept a present that is $20 or less in value. Also- even just giving a nice card, I'm sure would be so appreciated.
