Wearing ankle socks on top of stockings with sneakers

I did this a few times with old pairs of sneakers that were for fashion only. But now I got a real pair of expensive shoes for working out and I don't want to stretch them out or ruin them....

Should I just wear one layer with them? (either ankles socks or stockings?)

Stockings look so nerdy by themselves....

I can't wear leggings to work in the summer Israeli heat. I go straight from the gym to work by bus.

I recently was given a pair of sketchers and they stretched badly. But I think those were much more flimsy than proper sneakers.... But you're right, maybe it was just because ankles socks are thick, not because of stockings as an added layer...

Can you just wear ankle socks with a long skirt while working out?

Can you change at the gym?

I can't see how working out in stockings makes sense. I would get chafing at my upper thighs and ruin the stockings.

Just carry the sneakers and socks in a bag and change at the gym.
Personally I don't like to wear stockings with sneakers bec feet will get sweaty and uncomfortable. Cotton is best with sneakers imo.

Seems one feet would get extra sweaty and stinky wearing stockings while working out. Can you wear footless leggings and sport socks?

If necessary, change clothes at the gym.

It's not really acceptable where I live to wear leggings and stockings. Whenever I go for a power walk I wear stockings. The gym is private so no one sees me really

I can change at the gym, I wouldn't wear stockings there. But after the gym I can't wear leggings outside in this heat plus my community is really anti leggings. So I have to wear stockings.

I could shlep around flat to change into but I'd rather not.
