Is it safe for dd to take a taxi by herself in Israel

And which taxi company is safe? I’m so nervous about it. She needs to be our side yerushalayim about 50 minutes away by bus or car

How old is she?
From about 10 yrs up I would send a DD in a taxi if it was an urgent situation.
Order one to where she is - I think I am correct that Bar Ilan taxis does not have Arab drivers (might be wrong).

On the other hand, if it's the same travel time by bus and by car, why can't she get a bus?

Yes, taxis are safe.

A taxi ride for 50 minutes is going to be expensive. If there is little difference in travel time, I would recommend getting a bus.

Presuming she is in seminary for sure. I wouldn’t send a kid younger than 12 alone and make sure she uses a Jewish taxi

Gett is an app in Israel like Uber. Pick Gett mehadrin for a Jewish driver.
I don't know if a 50 min ride is worth it. Busses and light rail is super efficient there.

Is Gett only Jewish drivers?

They phone the taxi station and order a taxi just like in the olden days before the invention of apps Smile

Only if she phones the taxi and orders it. She should never flag a taxi down if she's by herself. There are a few companies that only use Jewish drivers. Her seminary should know.

Gett mehadrin works over the regular gett app and when you order there is a button for shomer shabbat I think it sais. This is zhe way to get a jewish driver

You'll have to ask. They don't always like driving to a different city, because that normally means they have to come back without a fare.

If you're talking about tomorrow, erev Yom Tov, after about midday they move to a higher price schedule, and it will be a lot more expensive. (This is standard on erev Shabbos and after about 10:00pm during the week.)

The later you leave it the more chance of traffic jams, and the less willing the driver will be to travel. He also wants to get home for Yom Tov.

When I end up using a taxi I usually use a woman driver
Most chareidi taxis have female opinions
It cost a bit more though
