Ds 8 looses temper

Hi any advice or books to read. If he doesn’t get his way he will get really angry and want to hit push throw things. (If someone touches his things, if he has to do hw, if he doesnt like my dinner) He refuses to talk to a therapist. I try role playing at other times but he still gets in his mood. I tried “the good inside” saying I wont let you hit… going w him to his room to calm down. Trying to distract him by Telling him to do take 5 hot cocoa breaths or eating something or going in a different room. He just gets so angry. Im still stronger than him and can hold his arms of he is trying to hit and saying you are not being safe I will let go of you when you are acting safely. He gets enough sleep and is well fed.
Help please.
