I feel bad for anyone at the Bronx or staten Island zoo this afternoon in this heat just because it was free. In sheitals and tights. With kids in heavy sweatshirts. Enjoy

Not at the zoo but outdoors. Zoos always feel hotter

Why zoo? Amusement parks or any outdoor activities are uncomfortable in the heat. I hope people check the weather and dress and plan accordingly.

We were in the zoo today. It was hot! We had a really good day though.
My boys and husband wore shorts and shirt sleeve tshirts. I wore sandals. My toddler daughter wore a sundress.
I find your post confusing.

I went to a zoo today that is not free at all, even on Wednesdays. It was shady and comfortable in most places, but the few sunny spots were hot. I noticed one family with kids dressed in velour, and many families dressed more comfortably. I admit that I did not pay attention to what most people were wearing. The animals were on display, not the people.

What a great day we had in the Bronx Zoo!!! The animals were all out in this glorious warm weather and so close for viewing!! We had plenty of indoor exhibits and beautiful shaded paths with magnificent trees! I'm sorry you didn't get to enjoy the zoo!!
