My family and I recently made Aliyah and I am due around Chanukah. We don’t know what we are having but originally we were thinking Shalom for a boy middle name - now I’m feeling like I want something showing more strength, resilience and a bit less passive than “Shalom”
Would love ideas for boy/girl names that mean light, strength, victory etc. Ty!

You can also name after the people who died, many stories of heroes coming out.
Like the person who went to the festival knowing it was being shot up and got 8 people in their car as they drove up to the Merkaz whole being gunned down the whole time.
The driver ended up dying from his injuries but all the 8 people he saved are okay.

To me, there is no stronger name for a boy than Yehuda. He was a strong figure in tanach and then Yehuda hamacabi. His name is the heart of who we are. Yehudim

I agree
Also, the concept of shalom is much stronger than physical brute strength, even when strength is necessary

I once knew an Oz Amichai, the father was a very patriotic Israeli and proud jew. OP Oz = strength and Amichai literally speaking is like am yisrael chai. Am=nation, chai = live

That is DD’s name. I love when people are like oh, how did you pick it? what does it mean, was it a relative? Nope! And I get to explain. Further more-https://nili-museum.org.il/nili-centenary/#:~:text=The%20underground%20Nili%20network%20was,time%20of%20famine%20and%20disease.

I personally would probably go for a name more like Emunah (faith in Hashem) or Yehoshua (Hashem will save).

First, B’sha Tova, Umitzlachas. Second, how about the name Nissim Baruch Yehudah. Because he’s iyh going to be born in a time of many great Nissim, Snd Baruch Yehudah because you’re seeing HaShems Brachohs m, even though we are in a time of war, we are still seeing HaShems Brachohs.
This is just my take. I’m no prophet, just my feeling, if I had a boy. And I’d add Zechariah bc we are very fond of the Wallerstein family.
