I think gifts for dining room is nice for men since they lead the Seudas… something silver to use shabbos and yontif or maybe judaica artwork or pictures of gedolim?

I made him a “dinner journal” and got all of his friends and relatives to submit “ads” expressing their Mazal tovs and best wishes (free of course) then printed it professionally and also put pics of him and the kids etc

I find that the best gifts are when I write a note straight from my heart and express my deep admiration and respect...
You can even hang something in his study with all the kids designing and signing their names how proud they are of him!
