Does everyone need to see the will

Without going into details, does everyone in the family need to be able to view the will? Is there a way to avoid that? Or to have different people view different parts?

Wills are public records I think in MD. As in, can go and get a copy.

When my grandmother passed away, the executor sent me a letter with a form to sign informing me as to what my yerusha was. I signed the court form and they sent me a check. No will reading or anything. I am in IL.

If you were interested on how things got divided - yes, which seems to be where OP is coming from (I'm guessing). Meaning - not wanting some people to know what other peoples got.
