I cook chulent beans on its own and after a couple of hrs drain off the water, fresh water, separately cooked flanken etc.
I drain the water cos I felt it would be less gassy that way but does the water of the chulent lose flavour cos its not cooked in the beans only the second time round when its fully cooked already?
