Veretzky is the same. Chassam sofer has become very chassidish and is quite old school chinuch- if that’s what you are looking for

Those 2 schools are completely different. Anyone who’s thinking about one of those schools are definitely not thinking to send either or

I really disagree.
Yes they are quite different but people who send to one also hang out with the crowd that sends to the other.

Veretzky is more Flatbush heimish not really chasidish at all but there are maybe 2-3 long suit wearing fathers. A few more streimel wearing.

Chasan sofer is definitely more chasidsh but a lot of the chasidish that send there are more “with it” ie they come from chasidsh homes so may dress chasidsh but that’s about it. The rest of their “type” is similar to veretzky.
The non chasidsh that send there are more yeshivish (from those that I know anyway).
