I heard from someone to stay away from name since all Rivkas are very strong people not in a positive way. Did anyone ever hear this concept before about the name Rivka?

Yup I’ve heard about it and I personally know several rivkas who are all like that.
But if you like the name I wouldn’t avoid it because of that reason. All the rivkas I know are all beautiful special fun kind people.

I've never heard that, but I have heard from several people (don't have a source) that Rivka is a name you can give if you can't/don't want to give a specific name but the person was kind. So you can give Rivka after their attribute of kindness, because she was known for her kindness (see, Kind Little Rivka 😉).

Ok that’s quite a big statement to make without a name or source . Way to malign a whole large contingent of beautiful Jewish women.

I always loved the name and was looking forward to naming my daughter with this name and she came out so strongly against the name and basically told me good luck with naming my daughter with this name

My daughter is a strong feisty personality, but also very well behaved and well liked by everyone. she's also named for my mother-in-law.
I know many other Rivkas and Rivkys and they are nice people.
