Bumping this thread up- I’m planning on naming dovid in a couple months and was hoping for some suggestions.
We’re considering something to do with the situation in Israel right now would be nice.
We were thinking dovid yehoshua but not decided yet.,would love to hear.

If it's Purim time, why not Mordechai Dovid?
I love the name Dovid and I'd probably choose it (though I'm desperately hoping for a girl, lol)
So many names go with it, why wouldn't you pick a name you like and see if it works?
I love the names Meir, Nesanel, and Alexander - IMO all of those go with Dovid.

My great-great grandfather was Moshe Dovid z'l, so we have a few by that name in my extended family.

There's a chazal that says "הבּחיר שבּנביאים זה משה והבּחיר שבּמלכים זה דוד אתה מוצא כּל מה שעשה משה עשה דוד" - the biggest Navi was Moshe, and the biggest King was Dovid....and chazal goes on to find parallels between their accomplishments.

So it's a beautiful name together.

I have a Dovid Aryeh, common name in my family. And it was funny because his rebbe's name is also Dovid Aryeh (no relation)
