How much does a private tutor in school/after school charge?
I’ve worked with sn kids for 5 years, both in a classroom setting and one on one.
I’ve also subbed mainstream classes many times.
I’m now looking into tutoring mainstream girls, 1st-6th grade, privately.
But, I have no idea at all how much to charge.
If anyone can help me out here I’d appreciate it.
Thank you!

You need a degree to tutor privately?
Or if you have a degree you can charge more?

I am in brooklyn and charge $75/hour for regents subjects and I am told (by friends/coworkers) that I charge too little.
I happen to be licensed and a teacher (& experienced), but experience is most important, I believe.
