IYH bli ayin hora, we will have our first son and we like the name Gideon. I don't know a lot of people who have it though and I'm just wondering if he will be made fun of for a not so common name?

I know so many, but maybe it's just not common in your circles.
No one I know named Gideon or Gidon is made fun of.

It's a good, strong, very masculine name and a beautiful one, too. Like Gabriels, Gideons are leaders on the right side of the fight. And good looking, too. JMHO of course, but I've never read a novel in which a Gideon was an "also-ran."
