Our knife doesn’t cut through crusty loaves anymore. DH has been complaining and the slices are falling apart. Time for a new knife.
Any recommendations for a knife that cuts well and looks nice for the shabbos table?

I saw someone had a very nice knife that said Victorinox on the blade. It sliced right through their sourdough bread without too much effort. I don't know where they got it.

Cutco bread knife! My in-laws have it, and it's always made the nicest slices. After several years the handle broke. They sent it in to be fixed and were sent a brand new knife, for free.

A high quality bread knife.
Others are suggesting victirinox. I have not been impressed with their quality. Get a high end balanced knife.
Also cut on wood. Glass kills the knife.

What about getting a whetstone to sharpen the old knife again? Seems a pity to throw away a challah knife just because it's blunt - that can be fixed easily.

Misen has really good quality knives. A bit pricey but well worth it. They're pretty sleek looking
