Iso kitchen containers not expensive

I decided I'm ready to do the thing where you transfer stuff to containers to make it fit better in the cabinets, stay fresh, and not spill when taken out.

The ones sold for this purpose are expensive. I don't need anything fancy, just something that closes reasonably well and fits on a shelf. Doesn't even need to be rectangular necessarily because most of my stuff is in a corner cabinet on a turntable.

I'm not sure what the sizes would be called either - containers are sold by volume but I buy things by weight. Like I would like containers for 5 lb bag of flour, 5 lb bag of sugar, 1-2 lb brown sugar, 2 lb rice, 1-2 lb beans...

There is a collection called the home edit from Walmart, that has canisters that are amazing and pretty, and very decently priced.
The only thing is they sell them in cases and sets, so I can link them, but you can search them on Walmart to see all sizes and sets.

$25 for 3 containers doesn't feel like such a great price to me, am I that unrealistic?

And does anyone know what sizes I need for the food packages described above?

Can't figure out why I originally posted anon. It's not like I'm secretive about being cheap and disorganized.

These are the best price that I personally have used.
Like someone mentioned, you can search Amazon and Walmart I’m sure there are way cheaper.

It really keeps it moist because of the terra cotta stone. Just keep it mind that it need to be toiveled.

My sugar is from a container from the dollar store.

Flour I can try to find what brand my container is. It fits a 5 lb bag of flour.

Do you have a Costco membership? I got an amazing set from them the company is pro keepers
One container Perfectly fits a full 4 lb bag of sugar, another a full 5 lb bag of flour, another a big bag of brown sugar and it has the freshness keeper to keep it from going hard, another container that fits confectioner sugar….

I guess there’s a difference between decanting just the flour and sugar and decanting the rest of it.
People feel like it gives them a second job. That if it’s hard enough to maintain the pantry without the decanting and this just adds to the burden.
And some people love it and they’re motivated by the look.
Target also has more budget friendly options.
You can also buy pantry containers to store the started bags in, to give more structure and a permanent place where they belong.

I am quite an organized and systematic person.
I don’t decant. Maybe when I have a new kitchen I will, but for not I feel like it just creates more jobs for me. I have a large plastic container for baking supplies and I keep open ingredients within their own bags in the big container.
If you are not the kind of person that is going to switch over every time, then you need to look for an alternative option

I like these.

I use them for sugar and flour or anything that can go bad once opened.

I have one for matzo, med size one for random open pastas/farfal/orzo.
I use the smallest size (5c) in the link for open bars or chocolate or 2 bags of beans.

21 c for sifted flour in my fridge
16 c for sugar
10 c is good for open items (choco chips, barley, split peas) or if you want to spill the full bag of pasta into it.

I bought most of mine by burlington, tj maxx, home goods etc.
You have to go in person tho, and they won't always have a few of the same. Took me many trips to get all the containers I needed.
It's the cheapest you'll find tho.
