I'm flying through Amsterdam with my kids, ages 6-15 in a few weeks. We'll have about a day and a half there. What's there to do there?
I looked through previous threads, there wasn't too much info and even threads that had info, not sure if it's up to date.
Can anyone help me out?

Thank you for responding!
How many of these can be done in one day?

I would say that a canal tour, the shul and Jewish quarter and one other museum is doable in a day. The flower market is just a walk through and doesn't take long. Of course all this depends on when you start. I would go with the Anne Frank museum if you only have a day.

Thank you!
Where can you see the windmills? Anywhere nearby?

The Anne Frank house is a can't miss. But the tickets sell out in advance, so definitely book as soon as you have your dates confirmed.

Thanx
I'm still deciding if I should take my 2yr old or leave him behind. It looks like these places are not stroller friendly. Do you know if that's true?

Years ago there was a mini Europe museum that was very interesting. Check if it's still open. I was there 20 years ago

Yes it's called Madurodam. I and my kids recently enjoyed it very much, but it's almost an hour south of Amsterdam.

I think you can manage with a stroller. I did with a baby in a doona. Don’t remember if I took it on the canal tour though but we managed.
