It might depend on your hairline, but ime without them I had hair uncovered.
I wore it with a headband to cover that spot

Can you explain what you mean by correctly? So it is straight? So it doesn't slup? So you don't stretch it out while putting it on? So it covers everything? Wht is your main concern?
