Anyone know how this works? Do you get money if you leave or only if you get fired?

Is that if you leave your work or only if you get fired?
Is it paid from the company or from bituach le'umi?
Re the years you worked - do they have to be full years that were worked, or just that you worked during those years?

It is if you leave. from the employer/company
I'm not sure I understand or know the answer about the years. Your companys accountant should know or find out.
if you know ivrit you can check kolzchut.org.il

Oh good! Here I was trying to figure out how to get them to fire me Wink
Okay, now I can ask the company. Just didn't want to ask them until I knew these details. Thanks for your help!

I was once told that it's more if you get fired than if you resign. I don't know how much the difference is.

I believe if you resign you need to wait a few months for unemployment to kick in. There may be other differences as well. Definitely it's better for you if you get fired.

There is an exception if you quit because of the job conditions changing, for example if they reduce your hours. In that case I believe you can quit and still retain all your benefits.

Definitely check kolzchut site, all the info is there.
