My seven week old likes to be held a lot so I want to try a baby carrier which hopefully will let me do things while I hold him.
Which one should I get? Not too expensive and mostly to use at home.

I found the ergo baby embrace best for an infant. I don't wear my babies once they get big so no need for one that can for them for the next three years.
It's very quick and easy to put on, comfortable and supportive for baby including head support, and comfortable for the parent too. I got open box to save money.
