Little boys until bar mitzvah cotton under shirt
Dh wool over shirt, Occasionally cotton under his shirt.

I couldn't vote because this is my answer:

Yeshivish.

Everyone wear an undershirt under his tzitzis. and the tzitzis under the shirt.
But

DH wears wool tzitzis, strings half in half out (shelmazel style)
DS over bar mitzvah cotton tizitzis except shabbos when he wears wool , strings always out
DS under bar mitzvah cotton tzitzis, strings in- I think. (Or shlemazel style too)

Dh wears mesh tzitzis under his shirt everyday, wool over his shirt on shabbos.
Ds wears cotton undershirt tzitzis.
Strings out at all times!!!

I didn't vote.

DH only wears wool tzitzis on Shabbos/YT. He always tucks the strings in. The rest of the time he wears the plain white ones. I guess those are cotton but I've never checked.

I only have 1 son who is still in preschool. He can't keep anything tucked in yet! I have no idea what he will do when he's older.

ETA: DH always wears an undershirt under his tzitzis with a shirt over. Same with DS except in the summer when we skip the undershirt and often throw the tzitzis on over a rash guard when he's supposed to go to camp in the morning already wearing a bathing suit.

We are dati torani in Israel. DH wears cotton tzitzis with strings out, I think all his brothers do the same. Some have techelet, some don't. No sons.

Genuine question, as I have never worn tzitzis and have no brother, and never learned much about the halachos - why is wool considered 'better' than cotton?

My husband wears wool tzitzis under his shirt with the strings tucked in during the week and untucked on shabbos.
