I have a 16 year old son with social communication disorder and it is really challenging. As this is a relatively newly identified condition, I don't know of any support groups, or anyone else who has a child with SCD. I specifically want to connect with parents of teens with SCD because the challenges I'm facing are pretty age-specific. Anyone here in the same boat? He does not have ASD.

I think it usually occurs with other disorders, so that's why there's not so much focus on it alone

speech therapy and social skills groups geared towards the ASD population should help even without an ASD diagnosis, no?
