Thanks! I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to get a car seat that can later be used as a booster too. I have one toddler and we already have a heavy car seat (not convertible to booster). What do you think?

How old a toddler? The Seneca is the lightest rear facing toddler seat, but it's not a long term seat. If the kid can go forward facing there are a lot of lightweight harnessed boosters

That's what I'm thinking...
Toddler is 2 and on the taller side. He is forward facing.
I was looking at the cosco kids finale 2 in 1

Cisco finale is the older kid version of the scenera

Got it. Sounds like it will be my best bet.
Anyone have it who can share their experience?

There are a lot of lightweight "harnessed boosters" out there that are good for travel. Cosco isn't actually the lightest I think

I see we cross posted. We have one for 2ish years and recently bought 2 more!
My parents keep one of the scenera and one of the finale in their garage for gandkids, they are lightweight and easy installs.
The one downside I have is that they’re not auto rethread (so you have to take out the straps and manually make them higher) but I think the ones that are are significantly heavier.
I got both reccs from safeintheseat on instagram- she rated them as top for travel car seats c

I have 2 Cosco finale seats and use them as my regular carseats. Simple and sleek as fast as carseats go, and cheap
