Hi I want to visit Yellowstone. No kids just me and dh. Does anyone have good advice? Haven't started doing my research so the basics... nothing luxurious - want to do it the cheapest way possible.

Fly to WYS or JAC airports. The park is huge, so you'll want 2 full days to see it all. It's shaped like a figure 8, so one day for the top half and one day for the bottom.
We were really glad we stayed in the park, as it saved a ton of driving and allowed us to see extra geyser blasts and beat the crowds to so many places. But in-park lodging fills up fast and is also more expensive. To save money you can stay outside the park, but you'll end up driving more and spending more time in traffic.
It's quite cold now and may not be fully open in the winter, but we had a great time there in the summer months.
You can also combine it with nearby Grand Teton National Park, which is stunning!

I believe the summer is the time to visit, not now.
