BBQ Pulled Beef
3-4 lbs. brisket or chuck roast
1 large onion, chopped
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 (18-oz.) bottle barbeque sauce (your favorite brand or flavor)
Chicken stock or water, to cover the meat
2 teaspoons salt
Place the chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot.
Lay the meat over the onions and garlic.
Pour the whole bottle of BBQ sauce over the meat. Fill the empty bottle halfway with water and shake to remove any sauce still left inside, then add it to the crockpot.
Cover the meat with chicken stock or water and add the salt.
Cook on low heat for 8-10 hours.
Once the meat is fork-tender, use two forks to shred it directly in the crockpot. The meat should pull apart easily.
