I noticed that lately my 10 year old daughter started blinking a lot. What can that be from? I am so nervous about it.
I originally thought that maybe its cuz she is tired, but I've been encouraging her to go to sleep earlier and she is somewhat, but I am still noticing it.

Im not knowledgeable about PANDAS but I know people who had this start in a child suddenly and it was due to PANDAS.

First start by taking her to an eye doctor , could be allergies or she needs glasses, next test for strep …

Omg! My 3 year old son had this for a few days but went away. Could it still be an issue with any of these things?

My son had it a few years ago from Pandas.
But now he has it and he tested negative for Pandas.
Any leads?

Son has it from watching too much. So any day off from school he does that.

Behavior

Needs attention.

Don’t talk about it, completely ignore.

Give 25 minutes of undivided attention for 3 months-it will disappear.

She actually has strep and is on amoxil! Will it go away on its own after she finishes the medication? Or should I call the Dr?

We had this too! If the blinking doesn't go away, you may need augementin to really wipe out the strept!

Tics are not behavioral

Keep a close eye. If it doesn't go away or comes back after she goes off abx, ask Dr for 30 days worth of augmentin or Zithromax to really knock it out

You can't test negative for pandas. It's a diagnosis that based on symptoms. If strep caused him to have tics a few years ago, chances are its strep causing it again, regardless of what bloodwork is showing

What does that mean?
It showed up then in his blood.
You can just assume pandas without any proof?

There isn't a direct blood test for pandas. Sometimes doctors will test for strep titers to see if there's a correlation between the behaviors/symptoms and a recent or chronic strep infection. But pandas is really the immune system attacking the brain instead of strep and there's no test for that.
