If you could live anywhere, a farm in Montana, a chalet in France, the top floor of a skyscraper in Manhattan, a cozy apartment in the old city, the White House, a little house on a yellow brick road, Mars, or a small shack in the Keys, where would you live? Imagine a minyan and kosher food were readily available (by some sort of magic if you don’t want to live near people).

Where would you call home?

Sounds like my husband and kids! My husband would love to live on a farm, but I don’t think I’d do as well with it

Definitely something more rural then where I am now. More trees, sky running creek. Less cars, buildings, noise. Not necessarily in a different climate.

I live in central Yerushalayim so I'm very thankful for that. I would love to live in a big house with a garden.

I also like the idea of a rural cottage somewhere, but let's be real, if I can't do online groceries or get where I need to quickly, I don't think I would really enjoy it! So maybe I'd like a vacation home somewhere sunny and rural for peaceful getaways Laugh

Love this thread, and love seeing everyone’s rural/farm life yearnings.

I’d also live in a ranch, with acres and acres of land, and horses and cows and chickens dotting the landscape.

Or in a cabin in a remote, secluded, wooded area where the seasons change vividly before your eyes.

…Typing from my apartment building apartment in Boro Park while the view out my window is another apartment building.

I've had the good fortune of visiting many beautiful places, but if Hashem chose to dwell on Har HaBayis, how could my dream place be anywhere else but as close as possible?
