what season clothing should I plan for my kids to wear to a cousins wedding in israel on 7 adar? should it be new stuff from the upcoming summer season or something from winter?

The weather is a bit hard to predict around this time of the year. It could be cold and rainy, or warm and spring-like. But evenings often are damp and chilly even in the mercaz.
Fashion-wise, I think people in Israel care a lot less about the correct switching times than in the US.
I'd say, put the kids into light winter clothes, with something to take off if too warm.

A costume!
Just kidding. The weather can vary. I would wear something with a sweater. That way you can put on the sweater if it gets cold and take off the sweater if it gets hot. Layers are key here in the inbetween seasons.
