After October 7 I’m sticking with books that are meaningful. I just read Eddie Jaku’s the happiest man.

Other books I enjoyed are maybe you should talk to someone and when breath becomes air.
Doesn’t have to be a sad book. Just a worthwhile read.
Anyone have suggestions?

Try THE Good Book, especially Nach. It's amazing how many passages could have been written on October 7.

Not any Holocaust books please. With the war going on it’s too traumatic sad and d pressing to read. It’s no longer in the past - it’s our current reality.

The midnight library, or anything else by the author, Matt haig (I think that’s his name). They’re fiction but very thought provoking, deep, engaging reads.

Just warning that's it's a little grapic in terms of romance. Also, isn't there only 1 sequel?

It should be appropriate enough to be read on Shabbos. Doesn’t have to be Jewish

I started a thread a while ago on memoirs. You can do a search - there were many excellent suggestions, and I've been working my way through them.

I ended up reading Option B by Sheryl Sandburg. It was a great book. (Disregard all the politics and skip if you don’t like that stuff or agree)

The Last Slave by Y Kormornick is an amazing book. It’s a fascinating story taking place during times of mitzrayim written very well.
