Infants can definitely develop mastitis. If you’re concerned reach out to your pediatrician

It happens. Just hormones from the mom. You can google it.

I’m not a freak out mom but you should reach out to your pediatrician with any concerns. Maybe take a photo and send it through the portal so she can tell you if you need to bring her in?

I don't think it's mastitis or any sort of infection. Or painful. Just a weird hormonal phenomenon that happens to newborns . Go to the doctor to check it out and calm your nerves.

It’s hormones and normal. Don’t freak out. All my nursing babies had it. You can check with your pediatrician but it’s probably fine.

Breast buds are normal in newborns. Swollen breasts are present during the first week of life in many girl and boy babies. The nipple area is firm. This happens through the passage of the mother's hormones across the placenta.
Check with your pediatrician to double check it's this.

One of my children had it and dr said it would go away on its own and it did. If you’re concerned you can check it out.

Baby baby girl also had this. I freaked out . Doctor said it's very normal and pretty common. It went away after a few weeks.

This is very normal. Please do not freak out. It's caused by the mother's hormones.

Another vote for yes it’s normal, one of my kids had it. Pediatrician said it’s from hormones. It went away.
Always best to ask your dr if you have any concerns.

Don't send a picture though. I read an article of a guy who sent a picture of his child's genitalia to a Dr for a question and was put on a zxual predator list fir years and couldnt clear his name. Assume all phones are surveilled and get flagged for any illegal transfer of pictures
