Every year it's the same debate.
People throw things out because they don't know where to give them

I'm starting a list here.
Put the city, what they accept and how it can be brought in.
Don't just throw out guesses, like "probably drop it at the hospital". That's vague, overwhelming and therefore not helpful.
Put details that you know.

Far Rockaway/5Towns-

Many schools in the area have large garbage cans to collect candy/snacks for JEP.

JCC food pantry in Cedarhurst- I’m not sure if they accept candy, but any real food/snacks.

Chicago Chesed Fund in Chicago and suburbs takes anything packaged.

For home made food, your better off networking with friends and neighbors to give it away.

Silver Spring, MD:
Kosher packaged food:
- Yad Yehuda collection boxes, nonperishables only (Shalom Kosher)
- Cypess family (includes perishables like milk)

Nonkosher (or any) packaged food:
- church food pantry on Arcola & Kemp Mill Road

Anyone who has left over closed packages of chomets, drinks, or nosh, can drop it off at 7 Plymouth place downstairs door until Tuesday evening. Everything will be donated to shearis haplate

5 Towns also has drop off ONLY CLOSED CANDY by 12 Muriel Ave in Lawrence. Going to Camp Tikva, a camp for Ukranian girls
