How much is typical? I know if fluctuates depending on season. Dd is good with hair. Is this good livelihood to support a family in Lakewood?

It depends on your dd's skills and popularity, on how much she advertises and how much time she devotes daily/weekly and before Yom tov.
I'm sure she can make a good salary with a lot of work!
(There are a lot of SM in lakewood!!!!)

There’s a lot of potential if she develops good skills and is sociable and kind.
Almost everyone (who is married) wears a shaitel so even though there are lots of shaitel machers there’s always a need for more.
Wash and sets are at least $45 these days. Cuts are more. If she sells wigs she can earn a good profit.
She should start slowly in a clean and pleasant environment. If she can build up a clientele she can take it to the next level.
I strongly believe that just like there’s a great need for babysitters in Lakewood there’s also a need for more shaitel machers. People keep having babies and keep needing to wash their wigs. Or buy a new one. And that will not stop any time soon.
